What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall that fell early this morning continues to impact flow in Brawley Wash. * WHERE...Northeastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 200 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1155 AM MST, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in Brawley Wash at Manville Rd. Brawley Wash at Manville Rd is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Three Points, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, Tucson Estates, Valencia West, Picture Rocks and Ryan AirField. This includes the following highways... Route 86 between mile markers 149 and 164. Route 286 between mile markers 44 and 45. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Manville Rd at Brawley Wash and Mark Rd from Jeffery Rd to Los Reales Rd. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
