Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Pima County in southeastern Arizona... Southeastern Pinal County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 145 AM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry washes. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1137 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated an area of training showers and isolated thunderstorms extending from Marana to Oro Valley to Catalina. Up to 1 inch of fain has fallen is spots. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Oracle, Casas Adobes, Saddlebrooke, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Tortolita, Saguaro National Park West, Picture Rocks, Oracle Junction, Dove Mountain and Biosphere 2. This includes the following highways... Route 79 between mile markers 92 and 99. Route 77 between mile markers 82 and 107. Interstate 10 between mile markers 237 and 249. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Twin Peaks Rd between Sanders and Sandario, Silverbell Rd near Ina Rd, Overton Rd at Canada del Oro and E Wilds Rd at the Canada del Oro. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
