* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Pima County in southeastern Arizona... South Central Pinal County in southeastern Arizona... North Central Santa Cruz County in southeastern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 145 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1042 AM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Santa Cruz River, Sutherland Wash, Guijas Wash, Las, Rillito River, Box Canyon Wash, Seco, Arroyo, Sopori Wash, Banner Wash, Brawley Wash, Bolas Blancas Wash, Guild Wash, Indian Well Wash, Robles Wash, Los, Saucito Wash, Big Wash, Demetrie Wash, Chirreon Wash, Oro, Caada del, South Mendoza Wash, West Branch Santa Cruz River, Esperero Wash, Champurrado Wash, Altar Wash, Peitas Wash, Cerro Prieto Wash, Chico, Arroyo, Old Junction Wash, Pantano Wash and Chalk Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.4 to 0.8 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tucson, Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Casas Adobes, Drexel Heights, Flowing Wells, Saddlebrooke, South Tucson, Saddlebrooke Ranch, Pascua Pueblo Yaqui Reservation, Tortolita and San Xavier Community. This includes the following highways... Interstate 19 between mile markers 28 and 63. Route 79 between mile markers 92 and 128. Route 86 between mile markers 158 and 171. Route 87 between mile markers 118 and 124. Route 77 between mile markers 70 and 94. Interstate 10 between mile markers 215 and 265. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Suizo Rd at Cadillac Wash, Country Club Rd at Franco Wash, Santa Clara Ave at El Vado Wash, 1st Ave north of Fort Lowell Rd, Stone Ave at Mabel St, Park Link Dr between I-10 and HWY 79, Silverbell Rd near Ina Rd, Camino De La Tierra at the Rillito River, Camino de Oeste from Sweetwater to Gates Pass, Ironwood Hills Dr from Shannon to Camino de Oeste, Mark Rd from Jeffery Rd to Los Reales Rd, Mission Rd from Valencia Rd to San Xavier Rd, Old Vail COnnection Rd at Franco Wash, Overton Rd at Canada del Oro, Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste, E Wilds Rd at the Canada del Oro and Black Wash at S Camino de Oeste. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
