* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...North Central Yuma County in southwestern Arizona... * WHEN...Until 930 PM MST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 636 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.25 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Alamo Wash, Gravel Wash, Red Raven Wash, Tenmile Wash, Yaqui Wash, Tyson Wash, Indian Wash, Hoodoo Wash and French Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Palm Canyon. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
