What is happening

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Where: Portions of east central California, including the following county, Mono and western Nevada, including the following county, Mineral. When: Until 530 PM PDT.

What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of east central California, including the following county, Mono and western Nevada, including the following county, Mineral. * WHEN...Until 530 PM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 415 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.8 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
