* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Elbert County in east central Colorado... Northeastern Lincoln County in east central Colorado... Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado... Southwestern Washington County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 900 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 747 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... First Creek, Lake Creek, Dugout Creek, Muddy Creek, Cottonwood Creek, Plum Bush Creek, Surveyor Creek, Gordon Creek, Wilson Creek, Water Gulch, East Fork Plumb Bush Creek, Sand Creek, Currie Creek, North Fork Arikaree River, Key Creek, Buck Creek, Long Creek, Beaver Creek, Reed Springs Creek, Middlemist Creek, Hell Creek, Big Sandy Creek, Vega Creek, East Bijou Creek, Agate Creek and Brunker Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Limon, Genoa, Lindon, Agate, Elba and Cedar Point.
