Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and other low lying areas.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Adams County in northeastern Colorado... Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado... Southern Morgan County in northeastern Colorado... West Central Washington County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 1045 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 749 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Sherman Ranch Slough, Sand Creek, Comanche Creek, Beaver Creek, Poision Springs Creek, Muddy Creek, West Bijou Creek, East Fork Little Muddy Creek, Antelope Creek, Buck Creek, Middle Bijou Creek, Wolf Creek, Little Antelope Creek, Badger Creek, East Bijou Creek, Bijou Creek, Mule Creek, Rock Creek, West Fork San Arroyo Creek, Rattlesnake Creek and Kiowa Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Adena, Shamrock, Leader, Twelve-Mile Corner, Hoyt, Woodrow, Gary, Byers and Hoyt Beet Dump.
