What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses, drainage areas and other low lying spots.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Jefferson County in central Colorado... West Central Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado... Southwestern Denver County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 600 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 253 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southwestern Denver, Lakewood, northeastern Littleton, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Sheridan, Morrison, Red Rocks Park, Tiny Town, Idledale, Indian Hills, Cherry Hills Village, Columbine, Ken Caryl and Genesee.
