What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and other low lying areas.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Elbert County in east central Colorado... Arapahoe County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 545 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry creeks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 246 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This may cause small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Gold Creek, Running Creek, Little Comanche Creek, Dry Creek, Comanche Creek, Little Dry Creek, Wolf Creek, Kiowa Creek and West Bijou Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bennett and Elizabeth.
