* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central Elbert County in east central Colorado... Southeastern Douglas County in northeastern Colorado... * WHEN...Until 415 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 122 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Antelope Creek, Running Creek, Kiowa Creek, West Bijou Creek, West Kiowa Creek, East Cherry Creek, Comanche Creek, Crowfoot Creek, Elk Creek, Cherry Creek and West Cherry Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elbert.
