What the bulletin says to do

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause minor flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland along creeks, and other low lying areas.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southern Elbert County in east central Colorado... * WHEN...Until 430 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 358 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for South Central Elbert County (areas north of Ramah). Please see that bulletin for more specific flash flood information for that location. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elbert, Simla, Matheson and Fondis.
