* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...West Central Mesa County in west central Colorado... * WHEN...Until 915 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 714 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.2 and 0.4 inches of rain have fallen. Rainfall rates of 2 to 4 inches per hour have occurred. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Grand Junction, Fruita, Redlands, Orchard Mesa, Fruitvale and Clifton. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
