What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Where: Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following county, Fairfield and southeast New York, including the following county, Westchester. When: Until 300 PM EDT.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, including the following county, Fairfield and southeast New York, including the following county, Westchester. * WHEN...Until 300 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1248 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Danbury, Southbury, Mount Kisco, Newtown, Ridgefield, Monroe, Bethel, Wilton, Brookfield, Redding, Bedford, Yorktown Heights, Briarcliff Manor, Easton, Pleasantville and Golden's Bridge. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
