What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Panhandle Florida, including the following counties, Bay, Calhoun and Washington. * WHEN...Until 1030 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 823 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen and rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour will lead to additional rainfall and increased flood potential. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ebro, Bennett, Gainer Spring, Camp Flowers, Bayhead, Recota Beach, Singer Road, Porter Lake, Majette, Cairo, Bayou George, Youngstown, Nixon, Riverside, Greenhead, Saunders and Red Head. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
