* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Big Bend Florida, including the following counties, Dixie and Taylor. * WHEN...Until 215 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1218 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen and with rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour ongoing. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Steinhatchee, Howell Place, Jena, Tennille, Fish Creek, Jonesboro, Bird Island, Cedar Island and Keaton Beach. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
