* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southwestern Lee County in southwestern Florida... * WHEN...Until 530 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 331 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cape Coral, Bonita Springs, Fort Myers Beach, Bonita Beach, Cypress Lake, Harlem Heights, Villas, McGregor, Iona, San Carlos Park, Three Oaks, Lovers Key State Park, Southwest Florida Airport, Matlacha Isles-Matlacha Shores, Whiskey Creek, Punta Rassa and Estero. https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
