* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Manatee County in west central Florida... Sarasota County in west central Florida... * WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1057 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Venice, Myakka River State Park, Lake Sarasota, Gator Creek Estate, Hidden River, Bee Ridge, Oscar Scherer State Park, Vamo, Osprey, Laurel, Nokomis, Venice Gardens and South Venice. https://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
