Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Georgia, including the following counties, Ben Hill, Irwin and Turner. * WHEN...Until 130 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1116 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen and rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour could lead to additional flooding across the advisory area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ashburn, Worth, Sycamore, Rebecca, Arp, Irwinville Airport, Amboy, Abba and Turner Co Airport. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
