* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Bulloch County in southeastern Georgia... * WHEN...Until 600 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 406 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. A cluster of nearly stationary thunderstorms has developed across central Bulloch County and is producing very heavy rainfall. A home weather station located east of Statesboro has measured 2 inches of rain in less than 1 hour. The heavy rain will impact urban areas in and around Statesboro, producing at least minor flooding this afternoon. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Statesboro, Brooklet, Register, Georgia Southern, Denmark, Nevils, Leefield, Somerset, Pretoria and Emit.
