Your message should describe the specific location, address, or intersection where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Habersham County in northeastern Georgia... Northwestern Rabun County in northeastern Georgia... * WHEN...Until 545 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 244 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Tributaries of the Tallulah River including Wildcat Creek, Moccasin Creek, Dicks Creek and Popcorn Creek. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
