* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County... * WHEN...Until 530 AM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 319 AM HST, Radar and rain gauges continued to indicate steady moderate showers falling at rates of 0.5 to 1.0 inch per hour over windward Big Island. Water levels in area streams are slowly rising. The showers are expected to increase in intensity as the morning progresses. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kapaau, Honokaa, Papaikou, Honomu, Pepeekeo, Mountain View, Hakalau, Glenwood, Ninole and Volcano.
