* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County... * WHEN...Until 700 PM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 456 PM HST, Doppler radar indicated persistent moderate to locally heavy showers over windward east and west Maui. Rain was falling at a rate of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour, and water levels continue to gradually rise in some windward streams. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kahului, Makawao, Pukalani, Haliimaile, Haiku-Pauwela, Kula, Paia, Pauwela, Huelo, Puunene, Keanae and Wailuku.
