* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...The island of Maui in Maui County... * WHEN...Until 945 AM HST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in streams. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 641 AM HST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain over East Maui and the slopes of Haleakala. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Nahiku, Keanae, Kipahulu, Kaupo, Hana, Huelo, Makawao, Haiku- Pauwela, Haliimaile and Pauwela.
