* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Monona County in west central Iowa... Northeastern Burt County in east central Nebraska... Northern Thurston County in northeastern Nebraska... East Central Wayne County in northeastern Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 715 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 459 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in a very short time. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wayne, Onawa, Wakefield, Mapleton, Emerson, Winnebago, Whiting, Decatur, Winside, Ute, Castana, Turin, Rodney, Lewis And Clark State Park, Kennebec, Omaha Reservation and Winnebago Reservation. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
