* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois... Northern Grundy County in northeastern Illinois... Southern Kendall County in northeastern Illinois... Northwestern Will County in northeastern Illinois... Northern Lake IN County in northwestern Indiana... Northern Porter County in northwestern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 700 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 509 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that light to moderate rainfall was occurring in areas where heavy rainfall occurred a few hours ago. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen in the past 3 to 6 hours. Some locations that may experience flooding include... Chicago, Joliet, Hammond, Gary, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Romeoville, Plainfield, Calumet City, Portage, Roseland, Englewood, South Shore, East Chicago, Burbank, and Lansing. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
