* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Cook County in northeastern Illinois... Kankakee County in northeastern Illinois... Will County in northeastern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 928 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms with rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour moving into an area with high soil moisture due to recent rainfall. Minor flooding may begin shortly after the onset of rainfall. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Joliet, Naperville, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Romeoville, Plainfield, Calumet City, Chicago Heights, Roseland, Lansing, Oak Forest, Kankakee, Harvey and Lockport. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
