What the bulletin says to do
A Flood Advisory means minor flooding along waterways and other poor drainage areas is imminent or may already be occurring. Persons in the advisory area should use caution and avoid flood waters. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Southeastern Livingston County in central Illinois... North Central Ford County in east central Illinois... Iroquois County in east central Illinois... * WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads and streets may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 226 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated the heaviest rainfall was ending. Automated rain gauges indicate that up to 3.5 inches of rain has fallen over the last 3 to 4 hours. Minor flooding is likely ongoing across parts of the advisory area, particularly from Fairbury to Watseka and points southward. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Watseka, Fairbury, Gilman, Clifton, Milford, Chatsworth, Onarga, Forrest, Sheldon, Chebanse, Piper City, Ashkum, Cullom, Saunemin, Martinton, Crescent City, Danforth, Beaverville and Woodland. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
