* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Franklin County in south central Illinois... Hamilton County in south central Illinois... Southern Jefferson County in south central Illinois... Northwestern White County in southeastern Illinois... * WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1208 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area, potentially upwards to 3 inch may be achieved. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Vernon, Benton, Mcleansboro, Christopher, Rend Lake Area, Sesser, Woodlawn, Valier, West City, Enfield, Ina, North City, Dahlgren, Buckner, Waltonville, Bonnie, Belle Rive, Ewing, Nason, and Mill Shoals. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
