* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...White County in southeastern Illinois... Posey County in southwestern Indiana... * WHEN...Until 300 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1258 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Radar estimates between 1 and 2 inches of rain has already fallen in parts of the Advisory area. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the Advisory area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mount Vernon, Carmi, Grayville, Norris City, Poseyville, New Harmony, Crossville, Cynthiana, Blairsville, Griffin, Maunie, and Phillipstown. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
