Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Hamilton County in central Indiana... * WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1032 PM EDT, local dispatch reported heavy rainfall in the advisory area due to recent thunderstorms. Ponding of low- lying areas is ongoing. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding of low lying areas. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Noblesville, Westfield, Cicero, Sheridan, Arcadia, Atlanta and Morse Reservoir. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
