* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Cheyenne County in northwestern Kansas... Western Rawlins County in northwestern Kansas... Sherman County in northwestern Kansas... Western Thomas County in northwestern Kansas... * WHEN...Until midnight CST tonight /1100 PM MST/. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 606 PM CST /506 PM MST/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Goodland, Atwood, Brewster, Bird City, McDonald, Edson, Beardsley and Blakeman.
