* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northeastern Shawnee County in east central Kansas... Southeastern Jackson County in northeastern Kansas... Jefferson County in northeastern Kansas... * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 628 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Valley Falls, Oskaloosa, Perry, McLouth, Meriden, Hoyt, Ozawkie, Lecompton, Winchester, Perry Lake and Williamstown.
