* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northern Cass County in west central Missouri... Jackson County in west central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 830 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 526 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Raytown, Grandview, Belton, Raymore, Grain Valley, Harrisonville, Pleasant Hill, Oak Grove, Greenwood, Peculiar, Mission Hills and Sugar Creek. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
