* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Clay County in west central Missouri... Lafayette County in west central Missouri... Southern Ray County in west central Missouri... * WHEN...Until 630 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 325 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Excelsior Springs, Richmond, Odessa, Higginsville, Lexington, Concordia, Waverly, Orrick, Wellington, Hardin, Corder, Alma, Henrietta, Crystal Lakes, Mayview, Woods Heights and Lake Lafayette. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
