* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Perry County in southeastern Missouri... * WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 602 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen in the past 30 to 40 minutes in the western parts of the county. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Perryville, Altenburg, Frohna, Longtown, Old Appleton, Lithium and Silver Lake. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
