What the bulletin says to do
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi, including the following county, DeSoto and West Tennessee, including the following county, Shelby. * WHEN...Until 430 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 125 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Southaven, Germantown, Olive Branch, Horn Lake, Memphis, Southeast Memphis, Capleville, Plum Point, Parkway Village, Cedarview, Fairhaven, Jago, White Station, Miller, Handy Corner and Alden. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
