* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Columbus County in southeastern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 730 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 531 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Whiteville, Chadbourn, Lake Waccamaw, Southeastern Community College, Redbug, Hallsboro, Brunswick, Cerro Gordo and Columbus Regional Healthcare System. weather.gov/safety/flood
