* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Cumberland County in central North Carolina... Southern Harnett County in central North Carolina... Southern Johnston County in central North Carolina... Northwestern Wayne County in central North Carolina... Southwestern Wilson County in central North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 801 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dunn, Benson, Fremont, Godwin, Pope AAF, Spring Lake, Erwin, Coats, Kenly, Princeton, Lucama, Black Creek, Pikeville, Wade, Falcon, Linden, Nahunta and Anderson Creek. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
