* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Dare County in eastern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 900 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 603 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing on NC 12 in Pea Island. Between 4 and 7 inches of rain have fallen. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo and Hatteras Island Fishing Pier. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
