* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is ongoing. * WHERE...A portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following county, Dare. * WHEN...Until 245 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 933 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported that portions of NC12 remain underwater this morning with Dare County Communications center reporting 4-5" across the roadway near Pea Island. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. Some locations that will experience flooding include... the vicinity of Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
