* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Davie County in the piedmont of North Carolina... East Central Iredell County in the piedmont of North Carolina... Northwestern Rowan County in the piedmont of North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1015 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 610 AM EDT, Additional pockets of heavy rain will fall across the advised area this morning aggravating lingering high water conditions throughout the South Yadkin basin. Rainfall totals since yesterday have ranged from 3.5 to 5.5 inches across a broad area from roughly Statesville to Mocksville. An additional inch of rain will fall this morning, and the threat of flooding of low-lying areas, as well as lingering and/or developing high water conditions will remain. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Statesville, Mocksville, Troutman, Bermuda Run, Cooleemee, Cleveland, Woodleaf, Cool Springs, Piedmont Research Station, Mount Ulla, Fork Church and Advance. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
