* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Surry County in northwestern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 645 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 247 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. This includes the following streams and drainages... Fisher River, Chestnut Creek, Beaver Creek, Davenport Creek, Beaverdam Creek, Cooks Creek and Cody Creek. Some locations that will experience flooding include...
