* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following county, Wake. * WHEN...Until 715 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River and stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 618 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated high water in some areas due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in a continuation of minor flooding. Rivers and streams will continue to run high. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Raleigh, Cary, Wake Forest, Garner, RDU International, Apex, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Knightdale, William B Umstead State Park, Lake Wheeler, Lake Benson, Research Triangle, Carpenter, Falls Lake, New Hill, Purnell and Jordan Lake. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
