* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Burt County in east central Nebraska... Cuming County in northeastern Nebraska... Northeastern Stanton County in northeastern Nebraska... Southern Thurston County in northeastern Nebraska... Southeastern Wayne County in northeastern Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 715 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 421 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Stanton, Wisner, Pender, Lyons, Walthill, Beemer, Bancroft, Winside, Pilger, Rosalie, Thurston, Macy, The Highway 9 And 51 Junction, Omaha Reservation, Winnebago Reservation and Lake Maskenthine Recreation Area. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
