Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
WHERE
Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union and southeast New York, including the following counties, Bronx, Kings (Brooklyn), Nassau, New York (Manhattan), Queens and Richmond (Staten Island).

Until 1145 PM EDT.
IMPACTS
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
At 946 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen from earlier showers and thunderstorms. Additional rainfall amounts of around 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newark, Jersey City, Jamaica, Elizabeth, Flatbush, Flushing, Bayonne, Mott Haven, Hoboken, Plainfield, Bloomfield, Linden, Orange, Coney Island, Summit, Lyndhurst, Millburn, Rutherford, Woodmere and Secaucus.
