* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, including the following counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union and southeast New York, including the following counties, Bronx, New York (Manhattan) and Richmond (Staten Island). * WHEN...Until 145 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas, as well as quick responding streams and small rivers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1041 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 1/2 inches are expected over the area through 1 pm. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newark, Jersey City, Elizabeth, Bayonne, Mott Haven, Hoboken, Plainfield, East Tremont, Linden, Orange, Summit, Lyndhurst, Millburn, Rutherford, Secaucus, Harrison, Ridgefield, Todt Hill, Huguenot and Midtown Manhattan. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
