* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Northwestern Bergen County in northeastern New Jersey... Passaic County in northeastern New Jersey... Southern Orange County in southeastern New York... Rockland County in southeastern New York... * WHEN...Until 115 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1014 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... West Milford, Monsey, Ramsey, Ringwood, Pompton Lakes, Suffern, Sloatsburg, Bloomingdale, Greenwood Lake, Spring Valley, Oakland, Wanaque, Airmont, Hillcrest, New Square, Viola, Wesley Hills, New Hempstead, Montebello and Hillburn. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
