* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...East Central Bergen County in northeastern New Jersey... Rockland County in southeastern New York... * WHEN...Until 315 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas due to elevated river and stream flows, particularly along the Hackensack and Pascack Rivers. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 1207 AM EDT, Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain fell across the area earlier this evening, resulting in small rivers and streams rising to minor to locally moderate flood levels. Water levels are expected to gradually subside tonight, alleviating localized flood conditions. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas due to elevated river and stream flows, particularly along the Hackensack and Pascack Rivers. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Bergenfield, Nyack, Tappan, Pearl River, Oradell, Norwood, Orangeburg, Upper Nyack, Dumont, New Milford, River Edge, Westwood, River Vale, Valley Cottage, Closter, Emerson, Old Tappan, Blauvelt, Harrington Park and Northvale. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
