* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Union County in northeastern New Jersey... * WHEN...Until 845 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Elizabeth, Plainfield, Linden, Summit, Clark, Union, Westfield, Rahway, Scotch Plains, Cranford, Hillside, Roselle, Roselle Park, Berkeley Heights, New Providence, Kenilworth, Fanwood, Mountainside, Garwood and Springfield. http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
