What the bulletin says to do

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Runoff from rainfall will cause elevated water levels within vulnerable drainages in and downstream of the Seven Cabins burn area. Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings.

* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Lincoln County in central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 445 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... At 238 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.6 inches of rain have fallen. This heavy rain is focused on along the Kelly, Peachtree, and Copeland Canyons within the Seven Cabins burn area. Some locations that will experience flooding include...
